If you fancy yourself as the next Nick Kyrgios or Sam Stosur, head to Saltwater Reserve in Point Cook this Saturday and test your skills at Wyndham’s newest tennis facility.
Saltwater Tennis Centre is holding its open day and everybody is invited to have a hit. Take part in a fastest serve competition, tour the state-of-the-art facilities and register for some of the programs and services on offer, including classes for all levels of ability and experience.
Led by expert coaches Jeff Baldassarre and Chris Singh, who both have international playing experience, the centre will also host social and tournament matches and be available for casual court hire and private lessons.
“We welcome all members of the community, whether you’ve played before or are just looking to start out – we’ve got a range of programs and competitions starting in February,” Mr Singh said.
Part of Wyndham Council’s $26 million Saltwater Reserve development, the centre includes eight hard courts, four of which have floodlights, and a pavilion with community spaces, change rooms and a kiosk.
The open day will be held from 10am to 3pm at Saltwater Reserve, Saltwater Promenade, Point Cook. Entry is free.
