Essendon AFL players, including Brendan Goddard, Jobe Watson and draftee Kyle Langford, crossed the Maribyrnong River on Saturday to compete in their own mini-triathlon at Williamstown Beach. The players completed a 400m swim followed by a 10km bike ride and 1.5km run as part of their preseason training. Defender Ariel Steinberg crossed the line first, ahead of Dyson Heppell, in just over 24 minutes.
