Music with architectural message

A benefit gig to help fund a legal fight against the first four-storey development in Yarraville will be held at Yarraville Senior Citizens Club, 48 Fehon Street, 7pm, Saturday, February 28. The Wilson Street Fight Back Benefit will feature The Brothers in Law, Mind Jam, and more. Tickets: $15 at the door.

Messages of love

Highpoint shopping centre will bring messages of love to life this Valentine’s Day when artists Kate Pullen and Lachlan Philp handcraft works of art for shoppers. Messages of Love will be outside David Jones on level two, 11am-3pm and 5-8pm, Thursday and Friday, and 11-4pm on Saturday. The Colour Club is also returning to Highpoint from 10am-1pm, Mondays, with activities for kids and special offers for mums and dads in the fresh food mall.

Pier to Plate

Seaworks at Williamstown will host the first ever Pier to Plate, a celebration of delicious seafood on Hobsons Bay’s doorstep, on February 28, as part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. Participating kitchens include MoVida, Hellenic Republic and Ragusa.
