The biggest event on Yarraville’s calendar happens this Sunday.
Organisers of the ever-growing Yarraville Festival have been putting the finishing touches on a schedule jam-packed with events for all ages.
Maribyrnong council volunteer of the year Megan Darling said she had been working to ensure that the festival built on the “buzz” which drew thousands to the streets of Yarraville last year.
A number of lead-up events will be held throughout the week, starting on Tuesday night with FlikFest film screenings and continuing with the I {heart} Yarraville Fashion Parade on Wednesday night, a Yarraville soiree at the Corner Shop on Thursday, and a ‘Sun Sessions’ evening of entertainment by Sun Theatre on Friday night.
Walking tours and the Fly Factory Trapeze will begin Saturday before the festival proper arrives on Sunday.
