Silvers Circus show’s the wheel deal in Altona

Men with nerves of steel Dominik Gasser and Ramon Kathriner last week rehearsed their routine after Silvers Circus set up the big top in Altona.

The pair run, jump, skip and flip at dizzying heights through the oscillating and revolving Wheel of Steel.

The world-famous Phoenix Riders will speed on their motorbikes inside the Globe of Death, passing each other with millimetres to spare.

Formed in 1976, the circus has an ever- changing program including a tightrope walker, performers on Roman rings and a hula- hoop dancer twirling and throwing 80 hoops while balancing on a mirror ball.

Ringmaster Simon Tait promises to mesmerise the audience with his celebrated illusions. The circus is at Apex Park until March 22 and show time is 7.30pm, with an extra performance at 1pm on Saturdays.

Tickets range from $24-$40 and are available at Ticketmaster on 136100 or at www.ticketmaster.com.au, or call the circus direct on 0413 880 044 or 0400 456 157.
