Nobody cooks your favourite meal quite like your mum.
But West Footscray restaurant Nuevo Latino Los Rodriguez will give it their best shot as they celebrate the Mother’s Day weekend with a special tribute to the cooking of mothers from around the world.
Co-owner Salv Rodriguez and brother Juan well know the pleasure of a mother’s cooking, their own mum, Clara, being the driving force of the Nuevo Latino kitchen.
Salv says the restaurant wants people to send in their favourite recipes for meals they love being cooked by mum.
The best 10 will be chosen and Nuevo Latino will add them to their Mother’s Day menu.
“It will be a challenge for us. We have customers from all different parts of the world,” Rodriguez said.
“Part of the idea is seeing how cooking has changed and our society has changed.”
The 10 selected entrants will receive hampers and gift vouchers.
