ALTONA Gators put the clamps on Sunbury Jets to record a cruisy 57-44 win in the Victorian Basketball League Big V women’s division 1 at Altona Sports Centre on Sunday.
Brigitte Ardossi was again the Gators’ most potent weapon inside the paint at both ends with a stunning 20 points, 17 rebounds and three blocked shots.
The Gators extended their winning streak to three.
Meanwhile, the Gators slumped to 1-3 in the men’s division 1 after a 96-82 road loss to Melbourne University on Saturday night.
James Guljas had a monster game for the Gators with 16 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks.
