Police are appealing for witnesses to a hit-run that killed a motorcyclist in Brooklyn about 7pm on Wednesday. Police believe the man, in his mid-20s, tried to pass two semi-trailers, travelling west on Geelong Road, by riding between them.
He lost control and collided with one truck near McDonalds Road, dying at the scene.
Both truck drivers failed to stop but later gave themselves up to police, who they are assisting with inquiries. Information to Crime Stoppers on 1800333000. The death takes this year’s Victorian road toll to 77 compared with 68 this time last year.
