Four rescued from The Warmies off Newport

Four people were rescued on Sunday night after their boat hit rocks near The Warmies fishing spot at Newport.

Three men and one woman, aged between 35 and 51, were in a 5.2-metre aluminium cabin boat about 7pm.

Ambulance Victoria spokesman Ray Rowe said they were pulled from the water and treated by paramedics after being taken to The Strand.
