Curious characters from an oversized chessboard will come to life for the Winter Kids’ Festival in Hobsons Bay.
Pictured are an overbearing Queen (Carolyn Hanna), dimwitted knight (Nick Papas) and a pawn (Penny Baron), who will feature in The Curious Game, performed by internationally renowned theatre troupe Born in a Taxi.
The show, ideal for children aged five to 12, will be held at The Substation on July 13 at 1pm and 3m. Tickets are $12 children/$15 adults. Running until July 15, the three-day festival opens with a free concert by ‘indie-kindie’ band The Mudcakes.
