DRIVERS can have numberplates fitted with one-way theft-proof screws for free on Saturday.
Police will conduct Operation Safe Plate in the car park of Altona North Bunnings in Millers Road, 9am-noon.
Capsule captures present for future A time capsule containing local newspapers was sealed in a wall at Laverton Community Hub last Thursday.
The capsule also features a book by Cooraminta North Kindergarten, community mementoes and council documents. It will be unsealed in 2032.
