Tree amigos keen to dig in with Lower Kororoit Creek planting

Friends of Lower Kororoit Creek, including president Geoff Mitchelmore (pictured), will celebrate National Tree Day on Sunday by planting 1500 native species.

A project linking Federation Trail to Kororoit Creek at Brooklyn will also be launched. It involves building and concreting a 350-metre trail linking a historic 1889 bluestone bridge to a new section of shared trail to Sunshine.

Tree planting is at Clelland Road, Altona North (Melway: 40 G10) from 10am. More details: 93981809
