An Altona Meadows man, 32, is in a stable condition in hospital after he was allegedly assaulted outside a Melbourne bar early Sunday morning.
Police have charged a 37-year-old South Australian man over the assault.
The South Australian man has been charged with recklessly causing serious injury and other assault-related offences.
He was bailed to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court in October.
