Adnate brings ‘street cred’ to Braybrook laneway

The future looks brighter for Braybrook’s Churchill Avenue laneway thanks to a project led by street artist Adnate (pictured).

Melbourne Citymission ‘diversion diversity program’ participants spent Friday afternoon spray-painting a 28-metre work along the western wall.

Program co-ordinator Liam Bartlett said the project would transform the gloomy but well-used laneway.

“The program is aimed at building the respect and safety of the laneway and encouraging local young people to take pride in their neighbourhood,” he said. A hand-painted mural and panels featuring artwork by local youth will soon be completed on the eastern wall.
