ADAM Murchie survived the gruelling climb on the Sheoaks circuit in the Brisbane Ranges to win the ninth round of the Footscray Cycling Club’s winter road season.
Murchie, a successful company director and former executive officer at CycleSport Victoria, negotiated a difficult 1kilometre accent the better and finished off the A-grade race strongly in a sprint.
Murchie, a Bikebug rider, finished comfortably ahead of teammates Stuart Morgan and Ben Johnson.
