STAT sheet stuffer Brigitte Ardossi is the double double queen of the Victorian Basketball League Big V women’s division 1.
Ardossi, a recruit to the Altona Lady Gators this year from the US college system, registered her ninth double double in 14 games.
She posted 21 points and 11 rebounds in the Lady Gators’ 78-65 win over Mildura Heat on the road on Saturday night.
Ardossi has quickly stamped herself as the dominant player in the competition, but she was by no means a lone ranger in the 13-point victory.
Louise Johnston offered a point of difference under the hoop with 14 points and nine rebounds, while Sarah Liebelt got the job done at both ends of the court with 12 points, seven rebounds and three steals.
The Lady Gators are running hot on a four-game winning streak and remain on top of the division.
Altona Gators’ struggles continued in men’s division 1 with a 76-54 road loss to Mildura Heat.
