Altona Gators have limped into the Victorian Basketball League Big V women’s division 1 finals on the back of three consecutive losses.
Even more troubling for the Gators is that the last two defeats have come on their home court, including last Sunday’s 54-47 loss to Warrandyte Venom.
The Gators have paid a high price for a late-season form slump, dropping to third in the Terril Group and facing a daunting road trip to Latrobe City for a cut-throat semi-final on Saturday night.
