FFV: Magic fans enjoy  six-pack of goals

ALTONA Magic downed a six-pack of goals to crush the thirsty Whittlesea Ranges 6-0 in the Football Federation Victoria men’s state league 1 at Paisley Park on Saturday.

The Magic are hellbent on finishing the season on a positive note, even if a top-two finish is realistically beyond them.

The John Markovski-coached outfit kicked off the scoring on 13 minutes from Andrew Kaine and an avalanche of goals followed, including a hat-trick to in-form star Rini Muriqi and goals from Robert Naumovski and Stephen Dimcevski completed the rout.

The FFV has an open week in its schedule for postponed games and games involving local teams include:

Altona City will go to Brunswick City tonight for their rescheduled round 18 game in state league 2.

Altona East Phoenix has a Friday night mission to Moreland City for its  round 18 make-up game.

Williamstown and Yarraville will square off on Saturday in the state league 3 local derby that was postponed  in round 10.

Maribyrnong Greens have a busy week with two provisional league 1 catch-up games, the first tonight against Surf Coast and the  other on Monday night when they face North City Lions.

Spotswood-based Melbourne City will travel to Watsonia Heights on Saturday on a short turnaround having already played a mid-week game against Moreland Wolves last night.
