Meeting to discuss rail racket
A public meeting at the council offices in Footscray tomorrow from 7.30-9pm will discuss a proposed state government policy to manage rail noise in residential areas. The Draft Passenger Rail Infrastructure Noise Policy meeting will feature talks by experts and allow people to give feedback to help Maribyrnong Council form its final response to the Department of Transport.
Mayors on bikes tour
Maribyrnong Council will host a group of mayors and councillors today for a Mayors on Bikes tour of the city’s cycling paths. “The aim of the tour is to give our neighbouring mayors a chance to see our bike infrastructure and share ideas on how we can all improve it,” said mayor John Cumming.
Election nominations open
