PEEK inside the gate to the large front garden at the Upshers’ property in Maribyrnong and there will always be flowers to see.
Husband and wife John and Corinne Upsher (pictured) have lived in the area since 1972 and their interest in gardening grew when they joined the Australian Plants Society’s Keilor Plains Group 10 years ago.
The garden on the banks of the Maribyrnong River is filled with an interesting array of native plants. It will be open to the public this weekend as part of the Australian Open Gardens Scheme.
Upshers By The River, at 87 Chifley Drive, Maribyrnong, is open 10am-4.30pm. Cost: $7.
