St Albans Primary School pupil Marta (pictured) was one of more than 200 youngsters who showed off their Aussie rules football skills at Whitten Oval in Footscray last week during the Multicultural Schools Cup.
Sunshine Harvester Primary School won the boys’ division and St Albans Primary School clinched the girls’ section of the seventh annual round-robin tournament, displaying skills learned in the Western Bulldogs’ Friendly School program.
Pupils from Footscray, St Albans North, Sunshine Christian School, Mother of God Ardeer, Sunshine Harvester and St Albans primary schools took part, the winners playing for AFL Victoria’s Multicultural Schools Cup today.
