Planting day
Help re-introduce beautiful wildflowers to Kororoit Creek. Plant and sow grasses and herbs to help create habitat for local wildlife. Enjoy a free sausage sizzle at the end of the day. Take a wildflower home to attract butterflies and pollinators to your garden. Bring along gloves and a water bottle and dress for the weather. Elegy
Elegy is a lyrical, searing exploration of loss, displacement and longing for home. Based on interviews with refugee survivors, the performance builds tension around an intimate love for a best friend, flight, empty train stations and bomb-blasted towns. Elegy, written by Douglas Rintoul, will be performed by Gareth Reeves and directed by John Kachoyan. The show contains adult themes and is recommended for audiences over 16 years.
