Share your snaps of Maribyrnong places

‘Exploring streets in Footscray’, an entry by Kel Devoil.

Shutterbugs have less than a week to share their snaps of what makes Maribyrnong so special and be in the running for $6000 of prizes.

Maribyrnong council’s inaugural Places of Maribyrnong photo competition invites entrants to submit photographs that capture the places that make the area unique.

Mayor Catherine Cumming said photos could be of well-known sites such as the Maribyrnong River or some of the lesser known places and viewpoints that set Maribyrnong apart.

Photographic-related prizes totalling $6000 are up for grabs for the top three places, judged according to their relevance to the theme, artistic merit and creativity.

The competition is open to Australian residents aged 18 years and above who live, work or study in Maribyrnong.

Entries close at 5pm on Monday, July 31, and winners will be announced by August 11.
