The Big Chill Block Party warms up Yarraville this Thursday

Ward off the winter blues when The Big Chill Block Party warms up Yarraville this Thursday.

A hot line-up of local musicians, including Honey Bucket, Eamon Eats, Franco Cozzo and Jess Locke, will take to the stage in the Yarraville Senior Citizens Centre, 48 Fehon Street, from 3.30-7pm.

The event marks the opening launch of The Big Chill Projection Exhibition, a two week projection exhibition at Cornershop featuring the digital art of creative young people living in the inner-west.

Event emcee Sweeney Preston, winner of the recent West Side Open Mic comedy award, will keep the free show rolling between the sets of entertainers the likes of Footscray City College psychedelic rockers Honey Bucket and Yaw Faso’s Afro and electronic inspired sounds, alongside the surf roots of Tommy Castles and lo-fi alt-folk of Seddon songwriter Jess Locke.

The exhibition takes place 7 – 19 July at Cornershop, cnr Ballarat and Charles Street, Yarraville.
