The Williamstown Football Club has announced the re-signing of Victorian Football League Women’s coach Penny Cula-Reid for a further two seasons.

Cula-Reid joined the Seagulls in 2020 after leading the Collingwood VFLW team to their 2019 premiership.

Her first run with the Seagulls was unfortunately not meant to be, as the COVID-19 pandemic put a stop to the 2020 season, and community sport altogether.

Cula-Reid said: “After a great foundation season, I can’t wait to get stuck into building the future of this program.”

Seagulls’ chief executive Jason Reddick said the club is excited to have a “trailblazer” a part of the club for the next two years.

“We are thrilled to have secured Penny as our VFLW Senior coach for the next two seasons,” Reddick said.

“Penny has embraced the club and played a significant role in creating a professional and welcoming environment for our Female players to develop in.

“We are excited about the potential of our VFLW team and confident that Penny is the perfect coach to lead them to future success.”

Cula-Reid will join VFL senior coach Justin Plapp in re-signing to the club until the conclusion of 2023.
