Mercedes-Benz stolen in Williamstown burglary

Hobsons Bay Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a burglary at a home in Williamstown on January 15, during which a Mercedes-Benz was stolen.

Police have released CCTV footage of the incident, in which three people can be seen walking onto a Pasco Street property and attempting to open a garage roller door about 11pm.

The group left shortly after and returned about 11.30pm in a white Toyota Hilux van with the registration plate covered.

One of the individuals gained access to the garage and reversed the home-owner’s Mercedes Benz C63 through the garage door and drove off, police said.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or file a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
