Encouraging diverse filmmakers

Entries for the 10th annual Setting Sun Film Festival [SSFF] are now open for short and feature filmmakers.

The festival will be held from May 11 to 21 at the Sun Theatre in Yarraville, Kindred Studios, the Greek Centre and online.

Filmmakers will have a chance to win $10,000 in cash and prizes, while the winner of the Best Film award will win $2500.

Festival director Anna Bourozikas said the

“We are excited to have made it to 10 years,” she said.

“It’s been great to see the festival grow and develop over the years and we hope to deliver another enjoyable festival next year.”

Designed to showcase the reality of the west’s diverse society, the SSFF was the first festival to have a Cultural Diversity award and a female filmmakers’ program.

Entries close on Saturday, January 31.
