Druids through to VTCA T20 grand final

The Druids are through to the Victorian Turf Cricket Association T20 grand final after beating West Coburg on Tuesday night.

It was a comprehensive performance by the Wizards after they were sent in to bat.

The Wizards made 7-148 from their overs with Nathan Johnson top scoring with 48 off 51 balls. Asela Rangana Dasanayaka Aluthge made a quick fire 35 off 15 balls.

Peter Goulding took two wickets for West Coburg.

West Coburg was in trouble early, losing 5-2 to slip to 5-16.

The side never recovered and was restricted to 8-111. Eamon Scott took 4-13 off his three overs.

The Druids will face Haig Fawkner in the grand final after the senior division side beat Maribyrnong Park St Marys.

The Lions were bowled out for just 78 in the 18th over.

Viraj Lakshitha took 4-13.

Haig wasted little time in the run chase, hitting the winning runs in 13.4 overs. The side finished 4-79.

The grand final will be played on Sunday at P.E.G.S Sports Fields.

It will be played after the women’s grand final between Westmeadows and Caroline Springs
