Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following the death of a woman in Maribyrnong earlier this month.
Emergency services were called to Macedon Street about 5.40pm on June 12, after the 81-year-old female resident was found dead inside the property.
A 55-year-old man was arrested early this morning at an address in South Yarra.
He has been charged with one count of murder.
The South Yarra man has been remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday, October 27.
