Tooth fairy visit puts some magic into dental health under Western Region Health Centre’s free check-up scheme

A sprinkling of magic has been added to dental check-ups in Footscray this week. A visit by the tooth fairy cheered up pre-schoolers, including Ewan, 3, from Kingsville (pictured), who had check-ups by Western Region Health Centre dental and oral health therapists.

The initiative is part of a Smiles 4 Miles Program, now running in 21 Maribyrnong pre-schools and kindergartens.

This week’s check-ups and tooth fairy visit aims to encourage lifelong healthy habits including enjoying a variety of nutritious foods, drinking tap water, brushing twice a day and regular flossing. The tooth fairy’s final visit will be during check-ups from 9.30am-12.30pm tomorrow. Information: 8398 4100
