Enthusiasm, hard work and a can-do attitude have helped keep Able Industries Engineering in business in the west for 40 years, according to its owners.
The South Kingsville sheet-metal manufacturing company marks its 40th milestone next week, with celebrations planned for the end of this month.
Managing director Stephen Martyn, son of Able Industries founder Bryan Martyn, said the family mantra was to provide customer solutions and outstanding service at competitive prices.
“I’m very proud of what has been achieved by our family business,” he said. “Long-term sustainability of any business is difficult but to build a successful manufacturing business is even more difficult.
“There has been a core group of people that have contributed to the success. Without them, it would not have survived and so I am indebted to them for their hard work.”
Able employs about 60 people, with the three longest-serving staff members having clocked up more than 30 years each.
Mr Martyn said that although much had changed in 40 years, the company’s community focus remained unchanged.
“We are an employer of local people and share a community focus with our company sponsorships,” he said.
“The continuous evolution of our diversification and capability has given us a unique competitive advantage.”
