IN FOCUS: This stone show is a natural winner

RMS Traders has come a long way since starting out in a tiny tin shed 35 years ago, importing containers of slate from India and Portugal to supply customers with quality, affordable natural stone pavers and tiles.

The family-owned Hoppers Crossing business that supplies natural stone pavers and tiles – these days run by the team Rin, Oliver, Shaun, Mel ,Connor and Paul – has expanded rapidly and now supplies thousands of products to commercial and residential customers, Australia-wide.

Shaun says the company has created inspirational showrooms for its vast range of natural stone.

“Following years of gathering knowledge and expertise, fired by passion, we have created displays of beautiful natural stone and offer design concepts,” Shaun says. “We’re always up to date with all the trends and styles and, because we keep stocks at a high level, our customers will never have to wait to get the product they want.

“We have a very qualified team to provide industry insight, advice and tips. If anyone has trouble executing design ideas, team members are very happy to help customers identify which stone, designs and finishes will best work for them.

“What makes our showrooms such a great concept is that they allow customers to see and touch all the different stone products and visualise how they can fit into their design. Staff help with identifying each type of stone, how they will function in a setting and what kind of upkeep will be required.

“A customer’s choice will be an educated one so projects come together properly.”

“We understand that each customer’s journey to acquiring stunning stone is as unique as the products we offer,” Shaun says. “We do our best to provide the highest-quality stone at the best price.”

In many years of sourcing stone, RMS Traders has established offices and connections around the world, along with its own manufacturing plants. This means it can customise and produce high-quality work for customers, big and small.

“Practical considerations are also covered, with technical industry advice given on issues such as creating stylish wet rooms or finding the right stone for a pool.

“Whatever the job, we have it covered.”
