Hobsons Bay are hosting a wide range of activities for NAIDOC Week.
NAIDOC Flag Raising Ceremony will be held at the Hobsons Bay Civic Centre Flagpoles on Tuesday, July 4.
The Newport Hub will host multiple activities on Wednesday, July 5.
From 10.00am-12.00pm, people can enjoy a walk and a read under the story tree, a children’s book page will be hung on display.
At 10.00am a performance by the Yarrabah Cultural Dancers will take place.
11.00am will feature a short film and a free cuppa.
Throughout the week visitors can enjoy an exhibition of poetry anytime throughout the week.
The Louis Joel Arts & Community Centre will host The Colour & Sound of My Totem Exhibition from July Saturday, July 1.
A workshop for kids will be held on Wednesday, July 5, from 3.00pm-4.30pm.
Children between 5-12 years of age are invited to dance. Limited spaces are available, call (03) 9398 2511 to make a booking.
Q&A with author Paul Callaghan will be accessed online from Friday, July 2.
