A Braybrook shopping centre has come to the rescue of a school hit by the theft of valuable computer equipment.

Dinjerra Primary School principal Graeme Smith said callous thieves broke into the school during the Anzac weekend, making off with three of their new Apple computers.

“It was not a nice feeling for the children to come in on Monday morning to find that their computers had been stolen,” he said.

When Central West Shopping Centre heard about the misfortune, they decided to assist in replacing the stolen computers.

Centre manager Fulvio Lunardi said the children were thrilled at the presentation of the oversized $4000 cheque at a recent school assembly and looking forward to the return of their much loved computers.

“We at Central West are very reliant on the local community, therefore we like to give something back where we can,” he said.
