The Footscray Night Market will return next month, offering cuisines from around the world each Friday night.
Held in Railway Reserve from 5-10pm, the night markets offer a range of food matched with entertainment and music amidst the leafy gardens located next to Footscray Train Station.
The journey begins in Africa on December 3, with rich spice seasonings and complimentary program of African Artists from the Melbourne International Jazz Festival.
December 10 will travel to Asia with spicy dishes accompanied by Bollywood beats and Lion dances, followed by an Australian showcase on December 17 with indigenous food offerings and smoking ceremony.
The December 10 markets will roam to Europe with Christmas carols, gift stalls and an appearance from Santa.
Maribyrnong mayor Anthony Tran said ‘Festival City’ is back once again.
“We’ll be kicking off the fun with the Footscray Night Market, which will be running with COVIDsafe guidelines,” he said.
“Come down and enjoy the food and drinks at the local restaurants, and dance your heart out in the streets.”
