Williamstown High School 2021 dux Julian McIntyre was among the 298 VCE students named as recipients of the Premier’s VCE Awards.

Presented on Wednesday, July 20, the awards ranged from awards for all-rounders to awards in specific subjects.

Hobsons Bay and Maribyrnong recipients included:

* Julian McIntyre – Williamstown High School – English;

* Jacqueline Gadea and Vasalem Pawpi Bingai Chho – Braybrook College – Community Services (VCE VET);

* Sammi Seah – Braybrook College – Psychology; and

* Bao Ngoc Tran – Braybrook College – Vietnamese First Language.

Williamstown High School principal Gino Catalano said Julian’s award was a “fantastic achievement” on top of being named the school’s dux and achieving a perfect ATAR of 99.95.

Education Minister presented the awards to the students and said the awards were the product of a high level of collaboration.

“Massive congratulations to our top-performing 2021 VCE students who worked incredibly hard to achieve these amazing results,” she said.

“These award winners are testament to how well Victorian students, with support from their school communities, families and friends, adapted to the challenges of a global pandemic and still produced outstanding results.”
