Man faces charges over West Footscray car roll

A 42-year-old Footscray man will face court after rolling a car with a child inside in a suburban West Footscray street.

Police and emergency services were called to Alma Rd, West Footscray just before 5pm on Saturday following reports of the car having rolled over.

Three occupants of the car, including a child in a child restraint seat, were uninjured.

Police investigated the crash and the alleged driver has been charged on summons with driving whilst disqualified and failing to have proper control of a motor vehicle.

The Footscray man will appear in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
