Past Tottenham North Primary School and current Dinjerra Primary School staff and students reflected on the past of the school and the potential for its future.

Dinjerra Primary School hosted past Tottenham North Primary School students as part of the Take Me Back event on Friday, July 15.

Principal Natalie Vulic said the students had been busy recently reflecting on the school’s history.

“I was incredibly impressed by our students’ writing pieces, such as their memoirs, historical narratives and accompanying artwork,” she said.

Former Tottenham North Primary School students Denise Hecker Goen and Christine Sheppard (née Arnold) were among the former students who helped organise the event.

Ms Vulic said the day also involved a parent forum to seek ideas for what the future of the school should include.

“We reflected on the important concepts of change, reflection and tradition,” she said.

“It is important for us to learn about stories from the start of Tottenham North Primary School.

“It is equally important to look forward to the future, to plan and develop the school vision, mission and values that will shape a truly aspirational and optimal pathway for the graduates of Dinjerra Primary School.”

The school has started planning for its 70th birthday celebrations on March 25 next year.
