Unusual attire for the local pool or workplaces across Maribyrnong were on show on Friday, July 22 as part of National Pyjama Day celebrations.

Maribyrnong mayor Anthony Tran joined staff and visitors at the Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre on Friday to help raise funds for the Pyjama Foundations’s efforts in comfort.

“National Pyjama Day is a day to put on your favourite pair of pyjamas and help raise funds to support educational opportunities for children in foster care, that will help close the gap in literacy and numeracy skills,” he said.

“It’s great to see our community supporting this event.

“You can get involved by wearing pyjamas to your swimming lesson or group fitness class at Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre between Monday, July 25 and Sunday, July 31 to help raise awareness and funds.”
