Hobsons Bay community members are encouraged to visit the Hobsons Bay Civic Centre to view the artistic talents on show.

The Hobsons Bay Arts Society [HBAS] launched their new Through the Artist’s Eyes exhibition on Friday, July 1 with Hobsons Bay deputy mayor Diana Grima and councillor Tony Briffa.

HBAS exhibition co-ordinator Kirsten Craggs said this year’s exhibition displays 56 works by 31 artists from HBAS.

“Through the Artist’s Eyes has been an annual event gracing the curved wall of the Hobsons Bay Civic Centre foyer for over a decade,” she said.

Featuring the works of exhibiting members of the Hobsons Bay Arts Society, it’s always a diverse mix of artistic styles and mediums, reflecting the wonderful talent within this inclusive group of creatives from Hobsons Bay and surrounding municipalities.

“Hobsons Bay Arts Society strives to promote art in our community; creating learning and exhibiting opportunities for its members together with artists and art lovers in our midst.”

The exhibition will run until Wednesday, July 27 from 9am to 5pm during weekdays at the Hobsons Bay Civic Centre.
