An anonymous new millionaire is at large in Melbourne, after purchasing a Tattslotto division one winning entry from a shop in Footscray.
The unregistered lucky winner was one of two Melbourne players who will each take home $1.25 million after thanks to the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The winner is yet to come forward to claim their prize.
One winning ticket was bought from Footscray Lucky Lotto, Shop 2 66 Nicholson Street, Footscray.
Shop owner Hai Truong said he’s hoping to discover the lucky person soon.
“We were excited to find out that we’d sold the winning ticket. We called friends and families that we knew had bought tickets from our outlet to check if they’d won,” he said.
“We still haven’t found the winner – but we’re hoping they discover the news soon.
“We’ll be celebrating this milestone with our customers at the outlet. They’re so excited for us, especially considering we only took over the outlet two years ago and then COVID hit, which kept our outlet shut most of the pandemic.
“This is our first division one winning entry since taking over the outlet, so it’s a milestone moment.
“I want to congratulate the winner and thank them for purchasing their ticket at our outlet. We are so happy to have sold the winning ticket, and we are ecstatic for the winner as well.”
The second division one winning entry was purchased at Swanston Street Lotto in Collins Street, Melbourne.
