Thieves steal $20K of cigarettes from Altona North

Three men have forced their way into Altona Gate shopping centre in Altona North and stolen more than $20,000 worth of cigarettes.

Police have released CCTV footage of the men who used pry bars and a sledgehammer to gain entry on February 1 at 3am.

The trio used a demolition saw to cut through a cigarette cabinet.

Security footage shows them putting the cigarette packs into two big wheelie bins with yellow lids.

The bins are loaded onto the back of a white 4WD, believed to be a Nissan Navara.
