It was a mixed weekend for Footscray in the Victorian Premier Cricket competition, as it split its two matches.
After finally getting out on the pitch the previous weekend, teams got double the action on the weekend with two one-dayers.
Footscray started the weekend with its first win of the season on Saturday, beating Frankston Peninsula.
The match, which was originally scheduled as a two-day match, became a one-dayer after losing the first five days of the season.
The Bulldogs welcomed back skipper Dylan Kight from injury in a welcome boost for the side.
Footscray won the toss and elected to send Frankston Peninsula in on its home deck.
Frankston was bowled out 197 in the 45th over.
Umair Butt, who made his debut for the club the previous week, took three wickets for the Bulldogs.
Footscray lost two early wickets before Daniel Sartori and Dean Russ steadied the ship.
While Russ fell for 62, Sartori continued on and helped guide the side to victory.
The Bulldogs finished 4-200 in the 44th over.
Sartori finished 104 not out off 116 balls. He hit 11 fours and two sixes.
The Bulldogs second and third XIs also came away with wins, with Aiman Nadeem hitting a century in the third XI.
The Bulldogs first XI were back in action the following day against Northcote at Bill Lawry Oval.
Northcote was sent in by the Bulldogs and made 5-256 from its 50 overs.
Joshua Sundberg was the star of the show, making a run ball 100 not out.
Ash Armstrong was the pick of the bowlers for the Bulldogs, taking 2-37.
The Bulldogs were in trouble at 4-36, before steadying through Armstrong and Kight.
The two put on 54 before falling in quick succession.
The Bulldogs continued to struggle to put on the runs and were eventually all out after losing their last three wickets for just six runs.
The Bulldogs were bowled out for 158 in the 45th over.
Malith Cooray top scored with 45 for the Bulldogs.
After the first three rounds, the Bulldogs sit in 14th.
They will be back in action this Saturday in another one-dayer, facing the Camberwell Magpies.
Essendon, St Kilda, Melbourne, Prahan, Ringwood, Fitzory Doncaster, Kingston Hawthorn and the Camberwell Magpies were the other winners on Sunday.
After three completed rounds, Northcote and Melbourne are the only undefeated teams remaining.
