Last chance saloon for local FFV clubs

FFV final day is this Saturday. What does it have in store for your local club?

SL1NW

Altona Magic

Magic (41 points, +19 goal difference) will be champions if they beat North Sunshine Eagles and both Western Suburbs (42, +17) and Sydenham Park (42, +14) achieve a result no better than a draw; or if Magic draw with the Eagles and Western Suburbs and Sydenham Park both lose, along with fourth placed Preston Lions (40, +11) failing to gain a result no better than a draw.

Altona East Phoenix

Can finish as high as sixth, the spot on the ladder they currently occupy, or as low as eighth, depending on their result against Westgate at home on Saturday and other results.

SL2NW

Yarraville Glory

Glory (44, +27) can be crowned champions if they beat top side Banyule City (45, +24) and second-placed Moreland United (45, +23) does not achieve a result better than a draw. If Moreland United lose, Glory will be promoted with a draw.

SL3NW

Altona City

City (41, +28) will finish second and be promoted if they pick up all three points at home to Lalor United. Whittlesea United (41, +12) is the only side who can overtake City but can do that only with a better result than City in the final round.

Williamstown

Cannot move from fourth spot, irrespective of their result at home against North City Wolves on Saturday.

SL4W

Melbourne City

City (38, +21) will be champions if they beat Keilor Wolves and if top side Brimbank Stallions (41, +24) lose by a significant enough margin to Truganina Hornets for them to make up the goal difference.

If City can’t chase down Brimbank, they need to achieve no worse than the same result as Maribyrnong Greens (38, +9) and Bell Park (37, +13) to get a promotion playoff berth.

Maribyrnong Greens

The Greens can earn a promotion playoff if they beat Altona North, and Melbourne City lose to Keilor Wolves.

Altona North

North can finish as high as sixth and as low as ninth depending on the outcome of their clash with Maribyrnong Greens at home on Saturday and the results of the teams around them on the ladder.

Laverton Park

Already relegated to state league 5, irrespective of the outcome of their home game against Surf Coast.
