Parkside remain undefeated

Parkside remains undefeated in the Western Region Football League division 2 competition after a solid win against North Footscray on Saturday.

After a strong start to the season, the Magpies again showed why they are one of the earlier pace setters this season.

It was an even first quarter, with the Devils leading by two points at quarter time. A four goal to nil second quarter turned things in the favour of the Magpies, who led by 26 points at half time.

The Devils won the third quarter by a goal, but it was all the Magpies in the final term as they run out winners, 12.13 (85)-5.10 (40).

Jy Lambley and Shaun Campbell kicked three goals each in the win, while Edward Pearson was named best on ground.

For the Devils, Scott Eldridge was their best.

Point Cook Centrals is the other undefeated side after beating Newport.

Centrals were in control throughout the game after kicking six goals to two in the first quarter.

They continued to build the lead throughout, winning 23.14 (152)-9.16 (70).
