MELBOURNE Aces were swept by the Sydney Blue Sox in a four-game Australian Baseball League series at Blacktown International Sportspark at the weekend.
The Aces were hammered 13-3 in the first game on Thursday, shut out in a 2-0 loss on Friday, beaten 5-4 on Saturday and finished the series with a 4-1 loss on Sunday. The standings make for ugly reading for the Aces (13-25), who sit rock bottom and five wins adrift of the second-last team.
They will play their final home series against the Adelaide Bite (18-20) tomorrow (7.35pm), Friday (7.35pm), Saturday (5.05pm) and Sunday (1.05pm).
