Western Bulldogs program lets girls get a kick out of footy

Girls of all ages from across the western suburbs came together last week for the first all-girls Auskick clinic.

The budding footballers were joined by the Western Bulldogs’ schools and clubs co-ordinator Glenn Balmforth, Maribyrnong mayor Grant Miles and AFL Victoria development manager Tom Delahunty.

The free program, launched at Victoria University Whitten Oval last Wednesday, taps into the growing interest in women’s footy in Victoria. Almost 4000 girls are playing Auskick across the state.

To join the program, phone 9680 6189 or email glenn.balmforth@westernbulldogs.com.au
